I'm In Trouble..

"I'm addicted to this girl.." It felt oddly comforting, talking to this little bird about his dwelling feelings that fluttered all too pleasantly in his chest.
It had been a week since he found the little blue jay, or.. At least what he assumed to be a blue jay. He was no expert in birds, and she was blue! A least he did know that she was a girl. The attitude she broadcasted to him, as well as her servants was extremely female-esque. But beyond her every so often pecking and nipping at his fingers, she seemed extremely relaxed. Almost pleasantly happy in his own home. So for now, until she showed interest in leaving her little roost she had built up here, he would happily let her stay here. He rather enjoyed the company. d the fact that she listened to him rant and rave, and then talk sweetly about a certain someone was always calming. It wasn't every day that he found someone, or in this case, something that listened to him so intently. While she couldn't answer back past a tweet or a squawk, it was almost reassuring. That she seemed to encourage him to continue.
"Y'see.. I'm not sure if she likes me anymore, because it's been awhile since we've seen each other. I dunno if occupy her mind as she does mine, but.. I'm wondering if I fu--" He paused, seeing the bird move so she could gently nip at her wing feathers. He waited, politely, for her to gesture that he could continue and her attention was back on him. And when she did, he smiled slightly as his pointer finger stroked through her fingers. "I dunno.. maybe I'm over thinking this... I mean, 'm not supposed to like a girl to this point, y'know? I'm the Card Prince, the guy who's supposed to be dating every girl from every kingdom... And yet here am, liking a single dame.. Is that weird?"
The little bird tweeted a soft song, shaking her head as she began to ruffle her feathers. With his eyes narrowed, he might... He was kind of able to distinguish what she was implying as a smile quirked on his lips.
"Yeah, you may be right..."
