Inspirational Pep Talk Time

Journal Entry: Fri Sep 14, 2012, 12:06 AM
Cause I feel that sometimes, everyone needs a pep talk. Everyone gets a little down on themselves. And well..I'm gonna try and cheer everyone up! Or at least try. And fail..woop..~

I won't deny, that I personally think I'm a suck ass artist. Like, I can submit things here, and then a few minutes later, notice so many flaws, it'll naw away at me from the inside. Or at least, it did. At some point, I just got to the point where I would see flaws and think "Eh. I did it. Good enough for me." and just go on with my life. Because, I finished it. It's my work. I got it done and it's legible, and it gets my point across. I try focusing on what makes me happy, though my lack of doing this for too long kind of limits me for that reason.

I lack good anatomical skills, and expressions aren't my best point. I accept those things, and know what I need to learn from. I've bought anatomy books, and I've studied expressions. I won't lie. This seriously did help. I've noticed, over the coarse of when I began, to where I am now, I've improved immensely.

Now, the title of this is an 'Inspiration Pep Talk Time,' so this is meant for so many people, and I hope everyone will get something out of this. Everyone, can learn how to draw. It's not a 'natural born' talent. People can learn, and they can be just as good as any person who was 'born' with the talent. Anyone can make a character, it just takes time, or even a little luck. ANYONE, can be 'popular' as it's called, but it takes hard work, and dedication. Kindness, love and compassion get you a long way. Just ignoring people, and not replying, and not taking that extra step, proves some things along the way.

This also applies to drawing. Please please PLEASE, don't do what I did. And just call things good enough. I'm trying to get out of that, cause really, I could've gone so much farther with some things. Research certain poses that you want to do, and use reference. References are always good, and they also do help with anatomy. Develop your own style of drawing. Sure, you can have inspiration from other people, but your drawing should come from YOU. From YOUR heart, not someone else's. If you don't get noticed now, don't worry about it. It just takes time, and as I said before, a little effort.

And one last thing, don't give up. Practice makes perfect, honestly. People that you look up to, amazing artists. They practiced hard, and they put time and effort to get to where they are now. Odds are, they're still practicing. Still trying to improve all the things they do currently. They didn't just get that good over night, guys. They started out at the bottom, and worked their way up.

I hope someone gets something out of this.

This is bootiful bro
Bootiful ;u; believe me i feel the same way.
Although when i feel like i did a horrible job on my art
It makes me lose all my creativity
It makes me want to stop drawing for a really long time. But i know that if i stop for a long time i won't improve, and i know its good to take a little break every once in a while, because i'm doing that right now. The real thing that bugs me, is when the people in my art class, can't be happy about their art, and i know they love to do it. But i never hear "oh i think i did a good job on this!" no it's always "this looks horrible..his/her's looks better than mine"
I wish they could see that they are indeed good artists...))

this is very much a worthy journal to read in the past i was gonna write one explain my inperfection like for on I suck at drawing hand so when im drawing i try to avoid them with the certain poses i use. I am a artist that lives off of refences some of my best works i did were done seacrching up poses and clothing on google. Whether the pic i use i of an anime character or an actual human begin doesnt matter to me. Im not gonna lie i can get lazy and try to rush certain stuff and after i finish the pic i feel bad cuase i know that i could do the exact same thing as those popular artist. though popularity means absoluty nothing to me. People watch me for my art, They comment on my picture cuase they enjoy my Ocs, and i make amazing friends from writing Rps. I am a self taught artist and the part were u said no one is born with this talent i totally agree. if we can learn to crawl, walk, then eventually run. im sure we can learn to Draw, sing, dance, and do what ever sparks our interest. ))
